The concept of NALSAR Pro

`Proximate Education' combines the face to face contact mode of imparting education along with that of Web based learning and interaction. The concept also aims to bring courses to some identified centers which facilitates working people to reap the full benefits of the courses of having contact seminars, exams and other Digital Video Conferences in the centers they live or at the nearest center. Students of the `Proximate Education' now will have an opportunity of interacting with others in far flung places but of similar interest through dedicated website and also interact, clarify and give feedback with the University Professors.

The NALSAR Proximate Education courses will broaden the horizon of the interface of Law with the chosen area of specialization. NALSAR Pro on its part is committed to the pro-active approach of taking care of the needs of the enrolled candidates with a separate staff to handle programs, schedules and deadlines. In essence - candidates of NALSAR Pro will receive an education equivalent to that of those who are enrolled for full-time.

Post Graduate Diploma in Patents Law
Post Graduate Diploma in Media Laws
P.G. Diploma in Cyber Laws
Post Graduate Diploma in International Humanitarian Law

About the Course

The Post-Graduate Diploma courses offered by NALSAR Proximate Education are of one year duration and open to graduates of all disciplines. The courses are structured and designed to cater to the various stakeholders of the society on the interface of law and other frontier areas of technology, science, trade and commerce. The courses are aimed at those in the legal profession as well as others in Government, Industry, Education and Non-Governmental organizations. (P.G. Diploma in IHL-Graduates with 5 years experience.)

Admission Criteria

A candidate for admission to the PG Diploma shall have passed a Bachelor's degree of any recognized University or an equivalent qualification as approved by the Proximate Education Committee of NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

The Time Frame of Course

The duration of the course shall be for a period of one academic year. The maximum period prescribed for completion of all the requirements for the award of the Diploma is three academic years from the year of admission.

Reading Materials - Print form

NALSAR Pro-aims to combine the face to face Contact programmes along with Web based learning. The students will be provided printed modules of materials prepared by NALSAR Pro. (P.G. Diploma in IHL-Print materials wil be supplied on order.)

CD-ROM

The candidates will also be provided with CD ROMs of the modules which are easy to carry and can be used during their travel.

Web Support

Enrolled candidates will get an instruction manual on accessing the Website which is part of the orientation kit. The WebSite will have updates on every fortnight and will have guest columns from the subject experts. The Website will be on a password basis free of cost to the enrolled candidates.

Contact Seminars

Each Proximate center will have a two-day intensive contact seminars. It will be conducted thrice in a year on weekends. The contact seminars will be handled by the faculty of NALSAR, practising advocates, consultants and professors of the specialized area. (P.G. Diploma in IHL will not have contact seminars and only through web support and e-learning open to candidates in India and SAARC Region.)
