NALSAR

NALSAR University publications division intends to bring publications for the legal fraternity on various segments of law. The publications division of the University will publish in physical and electronic form and encourages students and faculty of NALSAR to publish. NALSAR publications will also undertake publishing of works of those outside NALSAR to encourage research and dissemination of subjects on Law and Social Sciences.

NALSAR Proximate Education has published 12 modules on the subjects of Cyber Laws, Patents Law and Media Laws. These modules cover various facets of the above subjects and written by the NALSAR Faculty and Visiting Faculty of NALSAR Proximate Education. A compilation of the contact seminars are also published on the above subjects which cover indepth presentation done by subject experts.

NALSAR also has brought out CD-ROMS on International Humanitarian Law, Cyber Laws, Patents Law and Media Laws. These CD-ROMS contain both HTML and MS Word versions and easy to browse. Interested individuals or Libraries can procure the same by contacting the Coordinator, NALSAR Proximate Education at our City Campus. As part of the efforts, NALSAR NEWS is a half-yearly newsletter on the happenings at the University including the faculty and student activities, which is available free and can be obtained by writing to the Editor, NALSAR NEWS to the city campus address.

The University will be shortly releasing its inaugural issue of the Law Journal- 'NALSAR LAW REVIEW' - a half yearly journal, which will be a vehicle to keep abreast of the legal developments and will also deal with inter disciplinary exchange of viewpoints with the field of Law.

Other proposals for the forthcoming year includes the 'Journal of Biotechnology and Law'on the developments of the emerging interface of the subject with law and 'Annual Survey of Andhra Law' on the legal developments happening in the State.

NALSAR Publications has also brought out Souvenirs on Cyber Laws and Human Rights which is a compilation of articles by various subject experts. The Law and Economic Change Conference papers are also available as a souvenir. These publications can also be purchased by ordering to the Coordinator, NALSAR Proximate Education at the City Campus.

NALSAR University has brought out the Andhra Pradesh State Report - Conventions on the Rights of the Child - in collaboration with the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare and UNICEF. The report highlights the key issues affecting children in Andhra Pradesh and the progressive initiatives taken by the State Government and examines critically the various aspects. The report can be obtained by writing to the Registrar of the University.

NALSAR-Faculty Exchange Programme

To fulfill the larger mandate to the legal education, NALSAR has a Faculty Exchange Programme. The FEP programme aims to provide an opportunity to the faculty of other law colleges to experience the NALSAR University Teaching methods and Campus life to improve their teaching skills and to construct their own methods in their colleges. The FEP programme will enable 10 faculty members of law colleges in India to stay at NALSAR every semester to interact with faculty, students, attend classes and also give lectures.

Two teachers from a college can come for the programme once in a year for a semester. They can attend the University special lectures, contact seminar classes of NALSAR Proximate Education and other programmes.

The University will charge a nominal amount as FEP fee, which will take care of their accommodation and boarding needs. At the end of the programme the teacher will receive the NALSAR-FEP certificate.
