Seniority

— Determination of seniority — Reckoning of seniority — Particular instances — Protection granted in V.N. Sunanda Reddy case, 1995 Supp (2) SCC 235 to those Telugu medium candidates who had already been appointed on the strength of 5% weightage in total marks given to them under the unconstitutional GOs and were working on their posts concerned, from being disturbed and the further protection granted to their appointments, from being adversely affected by the said judgment — Scope — Held, the said protection covered not only their appointments but also all other service conditions including their right to seniority as had accrued to them at the time of their initial appointment, (2006) 5 SCC 505-A
