Timescale

— Super timescale — Object — Where all the employees were appointed pursuant to a common selection made by PSC and allotted different departments of the Govt., on subsequent transfer of an employee from one department to another with the approval of PSC without break in service, period of his service for the purposes of grant of timescale and super timescale must be counted w.e.f. the date of initial joining and not w.e.f. the date of joining the transferred department — This is more so when some employees junior to him were granted such benefits by counting their period of service on that basis, (2006) 7 SCC 521
