Pay of teachers

— Revision of — Scope of judicial review of, in writ jurisdiction of High Court — Private school, recognised and unaided — It on its own implementing the recommendations of Third Pay Commission, albeit not retrospectively from the date recommended by the Commission — Writ petitioners seeking a writ of mandamus to the said school to implement the recommendations of Third Pay Commission with retrospective effect — In the absence of a statutory provision directing private unaided educational institutions to implement the recommendation of the said Pay Commission, grant of relief by High Court under Art. 226, held, not warranted — More so, when the salaries paid to the employees (teachers) of the said school were found to be not unfair and not such as to shock the conscience of the court, (2006) 7 SCC 680
